How Bloor West Medspa collects, uses and protects your personal information.

Last updated: October 16, 2026

Our commitment

Bloor West Medspa respects your privacy. We collect only the information we need to respond to you and to provide care, and we protect it in accordance with Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect through this website

  • Contact form: your name, email, phone number and message.
  • Newsletter: your email address and your consent to receive emails.
  • AI assistant: the questions you type are sent to our AI provider to generate an answer. Please don't share personal health information in the chat — conversations are not stored in your client record.
  • Online booking: appointments are booked through Vagaro, which has its own privacy policy.
  • Spam protection: the contact and newsletter forms may be protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that a real person is sending them. It runs only when you use these forms, and Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. We keep only whether the check passed and its score — not your IP address.
  • Website statistics: Google Analytics, only if you accept it — see Cookies and website statistics below.
  • Google Fonts and Google Maps: the website's fonts come from Google Fonts and the map on the home and contact pages is Google Maps, so your browser connects to Google to show them (Google receives your IP address, and for the map only the address of our website).
  • French pages: the French version is translated in your browser by Google Translate. Only the website's own text is sent for translation — never what you type in our forms or chat.

How we use it

To answer your inquiry, arrange appointments and — only if you subscribe — send occasional news and offers. We never sell your information.

Health information

Medical history and treatment records are collected in person and kept securely, separate from this website, and are accessed only by authorized clinical staff.

Cookies and website statistics

We use Google Analytics to learn how people find and use this website: which pages are read, phone or computer, the approximate city, how visitors arrived (for example Google search, Instagram or a link) and what they click, such as "Book now". Google also estimates age range and gender for visitors signed in to a Google account who allow this in their Google settings. It helps us improve the website and runs only if you press "Accept" in the privacy box. Until then nothing is sent to Google Analytics and no statistics cookie is set.

  • Never sent: your name, phone number, email address, or anything you type in our forms or chat. Web addresses are shortened before they are sent, so links from our emails stay private.
  • Totals, not people: our reports show totals for groups of visitors. Google Analytics knows a browser only by a random number, never by your name, email or phone, and hides groups that are too small.
  • Age range and gender come from Google signals, a Google Analytics feature that uses Google's own information about visitors who are signed in to a Google account and allow ad personalization. Google counts it among its advertising features. We use it only for these totals: we do not advertise with these statistics, and ad personalization is turned off for our website. You can control what Google uses in My Ad Center, and turn off Google Analytics on every website with Google's opt-out add-on.
  • Cookies: Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_… on this website, which expire after up to two years; Google may also use its own cookies for visitors signed in to Google. If you decline later, the cookies on this website are deleted.
  • Where it goes: Google may process this information outside Canada, including in the United States. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
  • Your choice is kept in your browser for 12 months. Browsers that send Global Privacy Control are never counted.

Right now nothing is collected from your visit.
